Hello niki_nicole, the Tsubotaara Melinda Marie you asked about needs to be quite moist to wet all year. It is not supposed to drop leaves seasonally. It does not really like warm temperatures, and it does better with high humidity.
Many people grow it in a pot with sphagnum moss, standing in a shallow dish of water. In summer keep it as cool as you can. It will drop leaves if it heads towards dryness.
