Bare root purchases - OK to go S/H? Female
Default Bare root purchases - OK to go S/H?

Hello,

I purchased a NOID phal and a cymbidium. Both arrived bare root. I have the supplies to go S/H with some african violets. So I wonder if my 2 newbies can also be potted in S/H? I know I should wait for new root growth. If I don't use S/H, I could use a bark mix that I have.

I read that as roots grow, they adapt to the medium they're in. When they arrive bare root, how do we decide what to pot in?

Thank you.
