Scaphyglottis graminifolia
Hello!
I have one question:
Is it better for this orchid, to be mounted on cork???
Because the new bulbs appear apically one atop another old bulb.
Could you give me info about this species?
Thank you alot!
Sebastian

hello again!
Here one pic:
Is this really S. graminifolia?
Do I see two little Root-wannabes under the left bulb???

Hi Sebastian
Orchidwiz says it does best tightly mounted to a tree fern slab. Remember, if it's mounted, it needs to be misted daily.

Hello cb977!
Can I mount them on wood/cork/bark tightly with a little bit of Spaghnum-moss?

I think that would be fine. Whenever I mount an orchid, I put a tiny bit of sphag over the roots to protect them from what I use to tie them on.

Hi, this is years later but I have one and got it to flower. Downside: flowers do not last very long. I will post a photo next.

You can basically mount any orchid to anything just as long as you provide the right enviroment. Usually I try to mount thin root types of orchids to ecoweb (tree fern substitue) and thick root types of orchids to cork.
