I got these yesterday at Miller's Tropicals in Texas. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable, but weren't certain what species these orchids are. They showed me an adult plant, and it was about 8" across, with no leaves anywhere. They said it grows tiny white flowers straight out of the center on little stalks. It was growing on a hunk of tree fern, it doesn't like being especially wet, and it doesn't require bright light.
These are two babies, out of a batch that wasn't doing great. The batch of babies was on a tree fern tray, but it was apparently too wet for them.
Does anyone know how to ID these guys, or do I have to hope for a flower to get a proper ID?
Also, any care tips? I currently have them on Hygrolon, but on a patch of it that dries out quickly. Low humidity, moderate-low light, a very light
misting every day.
