I'm having trouble finding detailed information for 2 of my most recent purchases, both from SVO. I've been able to find an abundance on my 2017 project plant (L. Impanema Beach), but for the others, it just seems to be vague. Any assistance in guiding me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, website? Link? Ancient secret book?

I would follow the culture advice posted on SVO's website for Catts as close as you can.

With complex hybrids, I think it's important not to overthink care. Typically, they will do very well under the standard care for their alliance. If not, I would hope that the vendor would mention it in their plant descriptions.

Fred breeds for easy-to-grow as well. If you give them good light, water and fertilizer you'll be surprised how fast they grow.

Growing Cattleya in Michigan is challenging in the winter. So if you are a windowsill grower, run a fan to circulate the air in and around the plants. I have fans running intermittently on timers 24/7.

In Summer, I grow them outside. They seem to put on extra growth. The rain adds to their health.

Good advice, to which I will add:
1. Cattleya alliance plants are healthier if they receive supplemental calcium and magnesium. For years i have used a teaspoon each of gypsum (or plaster of Paris) to provide Ca and Epsom salts to provide Mg, dissolved in a gallon of water, adding a cup of this per gallon of water applied to plants. Works well and is fat cheaper than CalMag products. Ca and Mg nutrition helps with disease resistance, Ca is especially important in cell wall development.

2. For all Cattleyas, repotting is best done when new growth is about to develop roots, or has already developed new roots. This is especially important for bifoliates (such as your Caudebec).

3. In my humid southeastern USA climate, i favor even more open and fast-draining medium than SVO recommends. I don't add perlite. I do use big coarse bark, or even whole wine corks, as medium. I favor terracotta pots over plastic because they wick moisture away from the roots.

Thanks for the responses. I kind of figured "general cattleya care", I just didn't want to miss out on a culture point like possible iron supplements for rupicolous laelia. Just bought my 1st blooming size cattleya about 8 months ago, have since added 4 more, in addition to what was a very small seedling from C&H. Seem to be providing good enough conditions so far, given new growths and roots, color of leaves (including some of the purple-ish pigmentation). Hopefully will be rewarded with some blooms!

I forget what the pigmentation is called, bit i know I've read somewhere on here it means they like the amount of light they are getting
