It's just too much work to cut and paste on my phone.
People can find the thread if they use the Search function in the top maroon menu. Enter the search terms Koch and then part of my username seca, unclick the box for an exact username search, and hit enter. You will find the link to the Alan Koch lecture.

I would have done it myself but I edited your notes to suit my needs.

There is also a great one on Tolumnias vs Oncidiums. ES takes great notes, which are easy you copy and paste into your memo pad. My problem is I edit them.

I don't think I found that one, but I did a search for "desert valley orchid society notes" and found 5 posts of notes which seem great.

I'll pm you with my edited notes. It will be a bit though, I'm in the middle of something.

Thank you all very much for the input and help. It was great! And the Alan Koch notes are also super-informative. Thanks!
(and bethmarie, your comment about gale force winds caused me to literally laugh out loud)

I may have jumped on this thread late. I am experiencing the same thing with my leaves. I feel like I have a younger plant and none of my pseudobulbs are exposed yet. I have 3 new growths and believe it will be putting out a flower spike soon. I was wondering if the leaves die off to expose the pseudobulbs. I am freaking out thinking that it might be a nutrition deficiency but I am now wondering if I am stressing over nothing and the plant is just fine. Thank you
