Is this fungus on root ?
Question Is this fungus on root ?

I was recently checking my Dendrobium's roots and found that one of the new roots is a bit brown with white spots. It does not have a green tip anymore. It seems like spores to me. should I just leave it or do something ?

One older, dead root that's decomposing.

Ignore it.

This can happen to new roots that are kept too dry, or are scraped by chunks of medium. This is a big reason people recommend staking newly-repotted plants firmly so they don't wobble while forming new roots.
