Default Seedlings of various species need potting

I've acquired a few seedlings from a few different species from a nursery that seems to have not really known what to do with them. They all seem to be in desperate need of potting. I was hoping you could tell me the best potting medium for them. I have the following (feel free to correct me, I'm having a hard time reading the writing):
  • Vanda Yano Blue Ploenpit
  • Den. Paskal Kuning 'Sheldon's Delight'
  • Hawaiian promenaea
  • Odcdm. Catante 'Petite Cherie'
  • Mtssa. Dark Star
  • Bllra. Marfitch 'Howards Dream'
If you have any additional insight into any of these (especially light and water) that would be fabulous.

Thanks in advance!

Vandas need little or no media, depending on how much humidity you can give. If you want to pot it, big bark.
The Dendrobium is, at least in part, from the Den phalaenpsis group. I think that small-medium bark (in line with the size of the roots) would be in order
Promenea is semi-terrestrial, needs moisture. Small bark.
Odcdm, Mtssa, Bllra are all in the Oncidium group, and for small plants, small bark - they do like moisture. As the plants get larger, you might go a little larger on the bark, but at least for now, small.

Vandas and Dens tend to like fairly high light. The others need to be a bit shadier (what I'd call "bright shade".

Why not ask the nursery for some help too, if they have already done a good job, a good nursery should be willing to give advice. Otherwise, Roberta comes from a similar area as you so will be in a good place to advise.

Your growing conditions, and how often you want to water will play big factors in what media/culture you should use. There are many different "right" answers that will pop up in response to your question. Most of us have figured out what works for us, or what we just prefer. Some love mounting them, bil only goes with shallow and wide pots, ray prefers semi-hydro culture, I prefer a 2 pot system (smaller net pot within a larger plastic pot). I strongly suggest you check out the potting/repotting thread. Loads of useful information.
