Acclimating to outside--shade cloth advice? Female
Default Acclimating to outside--shade cloth advice?

Hello lovely orchid people,

I would love some advice. For the first time ever I've been putting my orchids outside. I have an east-facing balcony, which gets sun from about 10-1. Since I use growlights during the year, I had made the mistake of just putting them outside, thinking the lighting would be similar.... I was wrong. My poor little phals got sunburned within two days.
I brought them back inside and bought some 30% shade cloth. They are currently back outside with the shade cloth draped over the card they are on.
So my question is, what can I do in the future to better help them acclimate? Also, do you think I will be able to eventually "wean off" the shade cloth this summer?
