Bulbophyllum dried flower spike? Male
Default Bulbophyllum dried flower spike?

I have recently discovered this on my bulbophyllum medusae. After a few days the little thing just dried out. But I'm just wondering what is that? A flower spike? And what could be the problem that it dried out?

It could be a little sheath that will give rise to a spike or new growth. Give it some time. There may be living tissue underneath...just waiting...

I would also guess a sheath. A sheath is sort of like a "cover" for the flower spike
