Hahah, my goals are in my signature!
But more in line with the spirit of the question. I'd like them to be pleasing to look at, and if they offer a pleasant aroma too, that's good. I'd also like the plants without blooms to be attractive or at least interesting to look at. Honestly, one of the big goals is my signature. I am in an apt and have limited space. My collection as long as this is my circumstance will be small and have to grow in a pretty constrained environment. I made my first mistake and bought a Grammatocymbidiam Mem. Nathan Newman 'NN'. My wife picked it out and I liked it too, so I bought it. Turns out that Grammatophyllum orchids get BIG, huge actually. I may end up having to gift this thing to someone local if it gets as big as they seem to on the 'Net.
No worries though, if I manage to keep it for a year or two and it's healthy, I'll consider that a win and completely worth it.
