An update!
My husband and I made rhizome clips for the large C. Irene Holguin and the alba, which was also a little shaky in its pot. Seems to help.
A few weeks ago, I had my orchids all outside in a shady area near the house, and missed when a windstorm blew through! They all got knocked over, which I can't imagine was great for them. One or two were knocked out of their pots. I cleaned them up and made sure they were snug in their pots again. A minor setback, hopefully. (I was bringing them in on nights where it got cold, but the windstorm was earlier in the evening.)
The Maikai looks worse, quite a bit worse. At this point I'm suspecting I will lose it. I'm still caring for it because with 5 other Cattleyas it's really nbd to care for one more, but my hopes aren't high.
BUT. Check these out!

Lookit that vegetative growth go on my C. Irene Holguin! This growth was there when I got the plant, but it's definitely bigger. Compare to my previous photo from when I repotted!

New roots on the C. deckeri alba! Much more faith that this guy will survive and even thrive, now.

Something (vegetative growth?) on the Mc. Robert Strait Blue Hawaii. I remember noticing this when it was just a weird lump on the rhizome. It's starting to look like something!
All other plants look pretty much the same, no changes for better or worse. Although I think my smallest Phal keiki may be slightly larger.
