I'll second that! I was overwhelmed when I first brought in all of the plants I got from Ray last spring, and quite a few spent over a month in totes where a sliver of sun hit them once a day and they got an occasional spraying. I lost some plants that were rough to begin with, but several also developed spikes during that time. I'm sure of this since I looked at each plant closely before I put them in the totes to bring them in and if they showed any sign of flowering they were given top priority on suitable space.

I have a sort of small place, but I also do have a little outside area (It is a shared house). I end up making little grow areas throughout the house, using lights and racks. This allows me to get away from having to only use window areas. Make sure you use a light meter, to make sure they are getting enough light. This is a combination T-5 tubes, and LED red/blue (terrariums).(Those are the cattleyas I am selling on the bottom)

Thanks for such helpful advice, which makes me feel better about moving the plants. I think I'll be able to hold on to the majority of them.
