Favorite Orchid Books?

I'm just getting started learning to care for orchids and am wondering what are some of your favorite books?

Due to limited growing space I'm especially interested in miniatures orchids and terrariums, but would be open to any great books on caring for orchids.

I'm quite fond of Orchids to Know and Grow, by Thomas J. Sheehan and Robert J. Black. The reason I like this book is because the authors have taken great pains to establish the cultural needs of plants, and so to encourage orchids buyers to buy plants which fit their growing conditions. Following this advice will save people from the embarrassment of having to post a "I just bought XYZ orchid but was too lazy/ignorant/whatever to learn anything about it before I bought" thread.

All of the 'Orchid Species Culture' books by Baker and Baker are fantastic references. Also if you like miniatures there is 'A Compendium of Miniature Orchids' Volumes 1 & 2 by Parsons, Gerritson and Robinson. You can find these on Amazon....

I believe you will learn more perusing old threads here on Orchid Board than you would learn in any book. I sure learned more here.

jkofferdahl can't agree with that because he's a librarian, but I think most other people here would agree.
