Go to this link:

Book Report: The Orchids of Russia and Adjacent Countries

and I also found four books on this topic, research your local library....

Most indigenous species include Calypso bulbosa, Cypripedium guttatum, C. yatabeanum, Dactylorhiza aristata, Goodyera repens, Liparis loeselii, Listera cordata, Lysiella oligantha (Platanthera obtusata subsp. oligantha), Malaxis monophyllos, Platanthera convallariifolia, P. dilatata, P. chorisiana, and P. tipuloides. Some of these orchids can also be found in North America and Alaska.

I seem to rely more on published books rather than the materials I find online nowadays. Books have the legitimacy from authors with sound credentials rather than unfounded internet assumptions.

You have a great and deep wisdom. I wish I could find a way of convincing teens that their research projects aren't enhanced by citations from FlyByNight.com.

Oh come on, everybody knows yahoo answers is where it's at!

In grad school, I was guilty of only using the internet unless absolutely necessary. However, it was all primary literature or review articles published in scientific journals.

I'm sure you've tried to explain primary literature to said teens. I'm also sure you've had about as much fun doing it as I did

About 15 years ago, I took a class in microbiology. Now, I'm over a certain age myself, and had never owned a computer. (I did take an intro course in them after being called an idiot by the psychology teacher the first day of class, hey the school never said computer literacy was required and for you young'uns computers weren't everything yet then) The micro class required a research paper with citations at the end of every unit on a subject related to what we'd studied in it. So I went to the library and pulled out the Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature, as I'd been taught in school. I got good grades on my reports, and pretty soon some of my (younger) fellow students started coming up asking where I'd found my materials. When I told them, they asked me 'What's that?".

Kind of sad, though not their fault. Where were their teachers?
