I am loving this thread!

I mainly collect orchids that are scented. My son is blind, and loves to smell them, and feel the flowers. When one is in bloom, I place it near his spot at the kitchen table. So far, his favourites are the zygos, lycastes, Sharry Baby and a catt walkeriana (sp?).

I think I need a bigger house!

One of my favorite orchids in my collection is my Brassavola cucullata. I also have a large specimen of Brassavola George Tyler (flagellaris X cucullata). Both orchids bloom all summer long and have a delightful citrus scent at night. I highly recommend them to everyone!

BC Dismore Perfection FCC/AOS.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this one already but I bought it for the scent. As far as I am concerned the blossoms, large, pink, and beautiful, are secondary.

That sounds wonderful. I'll have to check that out. Lower calorie count than cookies too.

Laeliocattleya Purple Cascade "Fragrant Beauty" has an amazing rose/gardenia fragrance

miltonidium Goliath Spire "Manua Loa" smells similar, more candy sweet

Wilsonara "Snowshell" has a light gardenia like odor

Bulbophyllum wendlandii smells a lot like fresh cut grass

My wife is going to love getting a beautifully scented orchid. This thread is purely awesome. Which scented ones are the easiest to conserve? (sorry I'm a super newbie)

Den kingianum, Den x delicatum both are supposed to be super easy to grow and bloom and have a lovely fragrance.

Onc sharry baby, onc twinkle - I find oncidiums very easy to grow tho have heard some people say they have trouble with them - I guess it depends on the climate you have etc

these ones I have mentioned don't have the big showy blooms as some other types of orchids but can bloom profusely and do have wonderful fragrance

I'm sure more people will chime in with their picks
