This is a really useful thread!
I've actually been interested in the same list since more and more I am leaning toward collecting fragrant orchids for my collection (which unfortunately has to be space-limited). From the links some of you supplied I was able to identify several fragrant plants I have but didn't know the name of. I also have a few zygopatelums that all started from the same plant and now they are filling the entire room with an exotic scent. I also have two Oncidium Sharry Babies which seem to be quite popular here in California as the "Chocolate smelling orchid". My wife agrees with the chocolate idea while I think they smell more like soap
but very pleasant nevertheless. Looking over the photos on the "Fragrant Orchids" link that Dorothy posted earlier I see a Phaleonopsis - I didn't know there are fragrant Phals! Does anyone have one? What do they smell like?
