Ray breaks down packing very well. You can get free priority mail boxes of varying sizes and shapes delivered to you from the USPS website. My experience with Priority shipping has been good for the last few years.
I made an honest attempt to read the laws of various states, but didn't find anything that applied to shipping orchids or houseplants from one state to another. I'm sure it's there, just not easy to find.
You can't ship to Hawaii, but I've shipped to most parts of the continental US and have had no problems.
