Okay, thanks! I might try that with a coated/painted chopstick to minimize molding that I heard happens with untreated wood skewers.

I just gently try to manuever it in. If you encounter a root, there will be resistance. Think of her as unique, not wonky...And, besides, quirky makes life interesting.
