Default Dolomite p/h balance for Epiphytes?

Do you think its more helpful or more detrimental for an epiphyte Laelia or Cattleya to add Dolomite lime pellets to the bark mix to even out the p/H? I read that orchids grow stronger with an even p/H level. How much of the dolomite pellets would you add? I have a Paph Sanderianum cross I am going to be adding the dolomite to once I repot it into a clear pot with orchiata bark to observe the humidity and root growth. Though I know the Paph is more of a ground grower, often growing on limestone.

Cattleyas are heavy calcium lovers. The water should be RO or rain water.

The paphs growing on limestone does not mean they are sitting directly on the stones. They grow in leaf litter.

I have just started to get them calcium/magnesium treatments in pure RO or rain water.

I'm very glad you replied! I'm just starting to research and look for good magnesium/calcium supplements for my rare Paph. Is the one you're using an all-in-one supplement or are you combining mixes together with the R/O water?
