Today I saw this new growth from one leaf, is it flower or new leaf?

Cathleya prefer shallow big diameter or deep pot?-image1-jpg

No, it looks like a last year's flower spike that has been cut off.

Are you sure you just haven't noticed it before? From here it looks dead, with a broken end, as if it was broken off not cut cleanly.
Or am I misreading the image? A new growth should be green with a sharp, clean outline.

it was not there for sure last week when I bought but I guess you might be right because I found one more which looks green, dont know if its leaf or flower

Now that IS a flower spike. Looks as tho yours might be one that blooms without a flower sheath.
No guarantee, obvs, I have one idiot plant that is both mono, and bifoliate and throws spike with or without sheaths, single, two and three flower spikes.

It's a bit confused.
