Grow area to Show area bud blast issues
I have an intergeneric onc. that had many buds growing on a very tall flower spike. It actually grew so tall that I had to remove it from my grow chamber while the buds were fairly immature. After removing it from the warmer and more humid chamber it was placed in the normal environment of our house. Many of the buds in the middle of the spike just stopped growing. The buds at the top of the spike bloomed and have been blooming for several weeks.
My assumption is that the abrupt change in environment, when the buds were at their most vulnerable, was the cause of the bud blast.
Do others that have a "place to grow" and a "place to show" experience this same issue?
Would leaving the plant in the chamber until the first buds start to open possibly prevent the problem in the future?
FYI - The chamber runs 45-60 % humidity, and 80/68 degrees. Day/night respectively.
It was moved to a 20 % humidity 70 degree home.
Thanks,
SJ
