It's not in terrible condition, so you should be able to get it going again. To the above I would add to keep it warmer rather than cooler. You're not going to heat your house to 80 F all winter, but the plant would like it.

Ask 10 different people and get 12 different answers. I break or cut the long stem off just where the rotten roots start. Then pot on as most have suggested.
