Hi Lisabeth! Welcome! You will find lots of great advice on this board. As other have said, definitely repot if it is in planted in soil. As far as the spike, this is normal for it to turn brown and die. And don't fall trap for believing that it won't rebloom in the future. I knew someone who threw out and orchid, because it finished blooming and she thought it died! Good luck!
