Roundup in my house? No way! The warnings aside...the smell is atrocious and it lingers for days. When my hubby uses it on our paver patio in the summer...i can't even stand to have the back screen door open for at least 2 days. And that's outside where air can dissipate the odor.

Why not just pull the ferns and keep pulling until it's time to do the next repot? I don't repot just for weeds....but i do keep them pulled. If they are still popping when the weather warms then you can take it outside and paint on the product at that time.

For me...I'd sooner pitch the whole thing rather than have the smell of RU in my home. Admittedly, I am super sensitive to odors...but, still.

BTW- with the bag method...you risk getting over spray on the orchid leaves and even diluted...it could potentially damage the orchid.
