I'm a bit reluctant to repot this particular orchid... the last time I repotted the den spectabile (and a psycopsis), it sulked for a year without much growth. It finally started to pick up growth recently.

The important thing to remember is to keep your brain switched on at all times.
If you don't want to cause a problem, just mask the orchid.
Here's what you do.
Put the whole pot into a large plastic bag, with as much of the fern leaves outside the bag as poss. Tie off the bag snugly, and spray the fern leaves well with a proper dose, ie not over diluted.
Leave it to dry and when it has all dried, remove the bag.
Should there be a small drop caught in the bag that were to wet a orchid leaf, just wipe it off with a wet cloth a couple of times.
It takes time for roundup/glyphosate to be absorbed, about 1/2 an hour.
