Just when I was getting "happy" about no scales, room adjustment (shedding bottom leaves), keiki seperation & sudden spike with tiny blooms?

Charles, are you asking about a problem. Or celebrating? I see a few spots one leaf but, otherwise, I second Estacion, Yay!

These dens sometimes do that specially when in bud. If there was a sudden change in environment, their buds will drop. I usually let it stay in the same place until all the buds are opened. The flowers don't drop as easily as the buds.

Second that. Bud blast. I lost a whole scape on mine. Actually, my old girl looks pretty rough. Falling off the bench last summer didn't do her any good. She has one good cane now and four back canes. I'm hoping she will recover come spring but, she bloomed her heart out this year. 5 scapes in all.

And be careful not to let it get too dry when in bud.

Blasted!
So this is bud blast, this poor little guy has been through it all now.
Shipped to replace scale infested plant purchased.
It has been left isolated and monitored for last couple of months with new issues arising from time to time.
So much talent (promise) but unable to play ala Chris Bosh

Estacion is correct about the watering when in bud. I discovered I have been underwatering and my hence my scapes were prone to getting stuck in the sheath.

"Ascared" to over or under water.
Fert. / soaked real well 6 days ago & pot seems
medium heavy weighted, not light.
Skewer is not dry when it is pulled out.
