Brassavola nodosa spike or not?

Hi Guys!

I got this awesome brassavola nodosa,but it havent flowered yet.Now,there is something what looks like a spike,and I was wondering if it is or not.
I hope you guys can help to decide.

Just read other threads, post a few comments in them, and be done with it! It's just not that hard to get to five posts around here, is it???
