Mtssa. Kauai's Choice 'Trop. Fragrance' new growths and yellowing leaves
So I have a Mtssa. Kauai's Choice 'Trop. Fragrance'
That's got 2 new growths going. One is about 3 inches long, the other is just poking out of the medium. 3 outer leaves have yellowed in the past week.
I'm curious if it's normal for new growths at this time of year? How should I be watering it with these new growths?
It's in an East window now with temps down to 64f and up to 71f during the day, it's 12" away from a CFL 100 watt equivalent next to my psychopsis. I Water it when it's dry 3/4 into the pot, sometimes when it's totally dry, but never dry for to long

Are you able to post pix?
The yellowing leaves are on the newest growths?
What do the mature pbulbs look like? Are they shriveling, or still plump?

Ugh! It keeps telling me I can't. Something about a security token. The oldest pb is very shriveled with a yellow central leaf, the others are alittle shriveled

Check the size of your picture. There is a chart at the bottom. I have to use image shrink app in order to post.

Ok, finally. This was purchased at trader Joes in bloom. Repotted after the flowers were done, was really packed tight in sphag. Have had it maybe 3 months now.

I have a similar plant. Your pbulbs look a little shriveled. But, I recently lost a leaf in the same manner, for me, no worries as it is growing a couple new growths.
I keep it moist and in a East/ south window...however, I am. In the Midwest where it can be dreary all winter.
Perhaps an expert will shed more specific light for you. Hang on.

I think too dry. I had to keep mine almost soggy wet last winter and it grew wonderfully. Unfortunately it died quickly when summer temperatures hit.

I agree. I don't keep mine soggy as it's in fine bark and a clay pot. Since it is dreary, I water 2x weekly. Growth has not exploded, but it is growing. PBs plump. But, I have always read they need a lot of water.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'll crank up the watering and post some pics in a month or two.

Estacion, how hot was too hot? Mine was out all summer but, of course, hot is relative.
