LED lighting
Question LED lighting

Hello all
I recently bought a LED system(Solar System from California works) and was wondering if any one has experience on this type of system and what stectrum setting work best for orchid culture?

Generally, light towards the red spectrum induces flowering, and towards the blue spectrum improves growth.

I don't know that fixture but does it just have red and blue spectrum? i've experimented with various smaller LED light fixtures and overall, most are just not strong enough, usually to the medium light level at most, and usually appears to equate to open shade between phal and catt light... that said, others have had better experience perhaps blooming medium light catts on here...

anyway, if just red and blue, my experience has shown not very good results. Plants did/do better for me when a bulb/fixture provide other parts of the spectrum as well, ie a full pure white light register... but if you want blooms you at least want to make sure you have good amount of red bulbs in the fixture
