Default what's this 'eye' on my den aggregatum?

Hello,

I noticed this 'eye' on my den aggregatum mature psuedobulb. Is this where the spike forms? A sign that it's about to spike?

thanks

Hard to tell from the picture, is it an indentation? Flat or a bump?

It looks to me like a spike forming. That is the correct spot.

Lucky you! I went out and stared at my own plant when I read this, but it is just sitting. Two small pots of back bulbs are sending up new growths, but no spikes yet. Darn!
