Interesting....although I have my Cattleya for about 2 weeks not blooming yet, I find them hardy and can resist bacteria rots and insect bites even when heavily watering on the leaves. The leaves are harder and more robust. With my dendrobium, have it for about a month, the growth is slower. I am currently fighting some insects eating my leaves. I had to cut and trim several older leaves since I have it...
And oncidium is a ridiculous fast growing orchid.
I have it for about 2 weeks and the newer pseudo bulb has grown 2x in size. Within 3 days I have it, I could already see new growth from the roots.
