I would wait to remove it until it has roots that are an inch or so long. That will give it its best chances at surviving on its own. You can pot it up into a small pot on its own. I would use the same type of media as you are using for the larger plants. Sometimes, I will just pop the keiki in the same pot as the parent plant - if you don't really want a second plant, this works too.
