Plant turns yellow?
Hello everyone!
A few weeks ago I bought a nice Dendrobium SA-NOOK polar ice I think, it's flowering nice and a new spike is also developing nicely, so far everything is good.
Today I noticed that one of the small baby plants who are growing at the feet is turning from green to yellow...? I have added some pictures but its not very clear.
What should I change? is the plant getting to much water? I watered the plant once a week and spray it twice a day. So far the potting medium always seems to be a little moist and never get really dry. Maybe I should wait a little longer before I water the plant?
So far only one small baby is getting completely yellow and also one leave of another small one...
I hope I can fix it!

Some Dendrobiums react to a change in environment by having bottom leaves turn yellow. If it is one of the older growths, that might just be a part of its protest against being moved. However, it may also be a sign of unhappy roots. The roots prefer a set up where it is watered well but dries very quickly (even in the middle), to allow air to the roots as the roots rot easily.
Good luck! It is beautiful!

Yeah, I really wouldn't worry. Perfectly normal.

I would not spray this kind of Dendrobium every day. That invites fungus and the roots may stay too wet. I would not spray most orchids in a pot every day.

In fact, you should never "spray" a plant, unless you are treating for a pest.
Are you sure that's a new growth? It looks to me like an old growth, that has been superseded by larger and larger ones on a well-grown plant.

Because of the moss it stays wet for quite a while it seems to me, let's say 4 days. And also because I sprayed the moss twice a day.
After flowering I will re pot and I will try to make it more open so it will come closer to a better setup. Thanks!

thanks, I've added one more picture wich is more clear, I thought it was a new young growth, but maybe it's not?

Anyway, when I bought the plant everything was green. Something I didn't mention earlier is that the humidity in my living room is about 30% wich is far to low I know... I cannot help that for now. When it's done flowering I will move it to up stairs were I have a humidifier

Yes, an older growth. A lot of Dendrobium hybrids drop older leaves when moved from their high-humidity, perfectly lighted and temperature-controlled growing greenhouses, to our low-humidity homes. Leafmite addressed this earlier in the thread.

Another vote for that yellow leaf coming from an older growth. The new growths are the big ones.
