I'm not sure I'm clear on what you did. Did you apply some kind of Keiki growth product to the base? If you did, is there some reason you are trying to promote a basal Keiki rather that trying to revive the parent plant?

I would just keep it in a warm, humid, place. Give it light, not direct sunlight tho. The leaves still need light to photosynthesise. Above all, be patient, sometimes it can take a while. Good luck.

Phals need light, so don't place in the dark, repot with fresh sphagnum moss which contains a natural fungicide, this will inprove the roots health make sure that the moss is damp not soaked in water and moisten it as required.

For what it's worth, here's my Those sticky-looking things coming out are old dead remains of roots. I believe the only place this plant will grow new roots is higher up on the stalk. If you have several sets of leaves, you might want to consider removing the lower leaf on each side to expose the new area for root growth...you may see a node where the new roots will grow. Then as others have suggested warm and light. Some people have increased success using a plastic baggy to increase the humidity but be careful of mold.

i agree with biker but i'd just leave the leafs alone, haha... no need to pull them off in my opinion. when the roots grow, they will just grow along side the leaf of they just will just grow through it.
