Taking Suggestions for a New Orchid!
Hey everyone!
I'm looking to get a new orchid and am taking suggestions! I figured it might be a fun chance for others to talk about their favorites. I grow most of my plants in a greenhouse shelf that keeps humidity at least above 70%, probably closer to 80 or 90 all the time. Temps are always about 72 F in the house. They received morning sun and bright indirect light throughout the day.
The plants that grow best for me right now are Dendrophylax fawcettii (blooms reliably every year), Cattleya aurantiaca, Brassavola cucullata, Mexipedium xerophyticum (still small, yet to flower but a vigorous grower), Ascocentrum pumilum, Aerangis punctata, and Dendrobium kingianum.
I'm definitely more into species. I like Angraecoids and Cattleyas, as well as leafless and anything unique. Would like something that grows vigorously! Definitely open to terrestrials but only if they're evergreen. Thanks!
