Dead spike??

Okay... So 2 weeks ago I posted about new growth. Yay for new roots! My Phal was in bloom for at least a month. The bloom fell/died a few days ago and today I notice the spike(?) looks dead?

Everything else looks great though.

What do I do? Leave it? Cut it? Cry?

Nothing wrong there that I can see. The spike is brown and will drop in time if you don't cut it before then. Not all spikes stay green, although some do, so don't worry about it.

With new roots growing, this would be a good chance to repot the plant if you haven't already done so.

Cut the old spike off and wait for the next new one. Old spikes going brown is normal, just part of the plant's life cycle.

Looks healthy

Like the others, I would cut it. I always wait until they go brown, and then cut it. Some people cut them after flowering, and sometimes the plant gives a new branch and flowers again.

(I imagine it takes some energy, so I like to cut them down and let the plant use the energy in leaf and roots- and a new spike will come. I dont like secondary spikes, but I let the plant decide. Stay green, okay. Brown, okay)
