Should orchids be rotated? Or not?

I realized when I went to turn my Phal that there's another issue. It has a bunch of very enthusiastic aerial roots all going straight away from the window. I'm not sure if turning it would upset them? Are they trying to grow away from the light? It may be getting a bit too much where it is - the leaves are reddish-tinged, but since it seems happy otherwise (grew two new leaves and re-bloomed on an old spike) I've been leaving it.
