Cymbidium growth?
Default Cymbidium growth?

Hi- I'm new to cymbidium growing- I purchased a plant a few months back that had a nice flowering spike and 2 in formation- But shortly after bringing it home- the 2 spikes forming blasted all their buds- and I cut all 3 spikes ack for it to recover from any stress i might have unintentionally put it through.
I now have 3 new growths- one beside each bulb- and I am wondering if it could be new spikes- or new leaves- either way I am glad to see the plant is doing good- they are small- but feel very firm.

The change of environment likely caused the bud blast - it happens often unfortunately.
New growths feel firm, spikes will feel hollow.

I lost one spike from blast, and then I read that this can be caused by thrips, I think it was. It's in Wm Culllina's book 'Understanding Orchids'.

So, I hit all my cymbs with Imacloporid, and didn't lose another spike..

I am not very experienced with Cymbidiums, I only have two. From what I can see, I would say new leafy growth, but sometimes the growths can fool you.

Me either but I'm guessing growth also. At less it does look kind of like mine does and I'm calling mine growths.
