Default looking for ntermediate - warm orchid. Which one?

Hi, I have only two phal and one dendrobium nobile from one year. Now I'm looking for else. I found online kopf orchid (german vendor) where I can buy what I want but I' m living in Rome, in a apartment with a balcony, and here it's already hot for many species of orchid. The site offer to filter from many option but I have too much orchid to choose.
Can you help to find the best orchid in your experience I can grow in a intermediate - warm habitat? Regards

Can you grow on the balcony all year? I do not know much about temperatures in Italy, but saw that in Rome it averages 8C, and that is too cold for orchids outside without a heater or greenhouse (Cimbidiums may be an exception). If you plan to take the plants in for the winter, you may want more intermediate than warm. What size of plant do you want? I think for a new orchid grower with an apartment, a next good orchid would be an oncidium type, Many people like oncidium "Shary Baby" because it has a beautiful odor like chocolate or vanilla and are fairly easy to care for.

I would also recommend the sharry baby oncidium, lovely fragrance and a very robust grower.

Also suggest looking into Vandas, hybrid dendrobiums and hybrid phals. Most of them do well at temperature range of 12 to 30 Celcius.

Aerides
Arachnis
Brassavola nodosa
Broughtonia
Cattleya - some, the warmer-growing types
Cyrtopodium
Dendrobium: D. antennatum hybrids, D. latouria hybrids, D phalaenopsis hybrids
Epidendrum reed-stem types
Eulophia
Grammatophyllum
Neofinetia
Oeceoclades
Phaius
Phalaenopsis - they need shade
Renanthera
Tetramicra
Tolumnia
Vanda

And hybrids of these.

I have been to Rome in the summer and in the winter. In the winter you will need to bring most of these into the house, but some can stay outside if the temperature is 5C or above.

First, thank you for you fast info; second, this week I did a cutting of oncidium sharry baby from a friend...smallbut now I have too, so I'm hPpy to read is perfect for me. Third, thank you for the big list I received from Estacion. In these last years there were hot days also in winter. Anyway I can put my plant inside like outside in a small but perfect greenhouse. I hope to find somenthing of interest to buy from the list. Regards
