What is this orchid growing?
We have this orchid that almost died and suddenly started growing this thing. What is it?

The "doomed" plant is attempting to carry on its genes. That is a flower spike, but it looks like it is trying to form a keiki instead of blossoms.
Time will tell.

Thank you for your replies! A keiki sounds exciting! It sure do not look much like any of the flower spikes we've ever gotten before. Can't wait to see what it'll do!
