Masd. polysticta w/ Brown Leaf Spots
These spots came on really fast, and I'm a bit unsure what to think of them as I'm a pretty new grower!
On the culture:
I got this from last week (Friday), so it's a new addition.
It's being kept in a terrarium with 75-85% rh, temps of 70-72F during the day to 66-68F at night.
I fertilized yesterday with 1/4-strength 20-10-20 Urea-Free fertilizer.
The tag recommends daily watering, but I'm uneasy of this as it's in a clay pot and a bit tricky for me as a newer grower to keep an eye out for over-watering, especially with the moss and liverworts on top! With that being said, I do try to keep it moist at all times.
Anyhow, attached are some pics of the affected areas. Should I cut the leaves off and change the culture at all? Let me know what you all see!
PS. Sorry if this is the incorrect forum. For w/e reason the pest & disease forum kept denying my post
Cheers!

How is your air movement?

If it's dry, I would just keep it under observation. I don't like moist patches as I see those as spreading. If it is wet and it does spread, if you do cut, I like to treat the wound, not with cinnamon etc, but with a fungicide powder. I use Mancozeb, as it works well in the rest of the garden against fungus.

The terrarium it is in is unsealed with a large, screened side on the front to promote air movement. I also have a small fan nearby that turns on probably 5-6 times a day to promote air flow, but it is not running constantly. Hope that helps!
I should also note that the patches were not there on Friday when I received it, but have appeared in the last 2 days.

This can also happen on leaves that sustain mechanical damage.

Sounds like you have air movement. Sometimes they get stressed from mailing. I would watch it closely for any spread or further changes. They dry stuff looks ok, see what the other area does. Masdies need the right kind of moist, not too moist where you get fungus, not too dry where they wilt and die.

Thanks for the help all!
Part of the reason I took pictures was also to track any spreading or growth, so i will certainly watch and wait until I can spot something more worrisome.
Cheers!

I had recently gotten a new masdie species that I reopotted right away. This time I am trying clay pots with clay beads. Yesterday I had to go somewhere and I didn't mist the beads as much as I had been doing. Today I have a couple brown spots. Now I am setting the clay pot w beads in a small saucer of rain water. I have some of my masdies on Kool logs, some in clay beads with s.moss on top in a clay pot also setting in water. The trick with species masdies is watch them like a hawk and give them what they need if they aren't happy. Things can change fast so they demand a lot of attention until they are settled IMO.
