Interesting oncidium comparison.
Now, here are two oncidiums, both bought on the same day and repotted on the same day, in the same type of pot and medium. Effectively the flowers are identical, both yellow, but one has black spots, the other white.
Now one had no issues and had good roots. The other tho, the roots were so damaged that when I lifted it out of the pot, ALL the roots fell off, leaving the plant bald and rootless.
I didn't give it any special treatment, just stuck it in the pot like the healthy one and made it stand upright using three flat rocks.
Here they are one year on, and both are flowering. One has one spike, the other 4 or 5
Students of irony will predict that the one with no roots is the one with all the spikes, and they'd be right.

I have no idea. They are pretty close if the flower is anything to go by, but they were sold just as odontoglossums. My mistake on the first post, not oncidium.. Sorry about that.

They don't really look the same to me. We will expect an update when the flowers open.

Do you have them on that one special relaxing table? It might be just showing off for you.
