I have this little NOID phal with some new flowers which I love because it is pretty. It's recently decided to make a new leaf, but the leaf is coming out weird.
It looks sort of stretched or something on either side. It was hard to convey in the pictures. On each side, a strip of the leaf is brown and papery.
What is going on here? Anyone encountered this before? Will my orchid be ok?
The flower is really beautiful! I like that huge lyre-shaped lip.
How long have you had this plant? The new leaf is probably purple because it's getting considerably more light than it has in the past. The brown spot looks like some kind of previous mechanical damage, and I wouldn't worry about it. It won't go away, though.
If you wanted to you could move this plant a little farther back from the light and put a more light-loving plant into that spot.

I've had this plant for... wow, probably five years now! The leaves do tend to be much darker and/or more purple than my other orchids. It may be getting more light than before, considering it's near the cattleyas, which get artificial light. Maybe the damage on the leaves could be sunburn?
SFLguy - thanks for the ID! Now my orchid has a name other than "the little pink one that gets lots of flowers".

"Looks like" is different from an ID. There are so many very similar pink Phals - you can't really ID based on a picture.
