pot for neofinetia

Yesterday, I bought a set of citronella candles in what looks like neo pots. I was wondering if they would ever be safe to put my little plant in. [after the wax is out]

They are clay however, and my husband said the oil from the citronella, would not come out.

It would be a shame if they can't be used, but I'm not risking the health of my plant.

I would not use them. I do use clay pots. They are cheap, buy new ones.
