It is a lovely plant and the flowers are beautiful. You are so lucky to have a mom that loves you like that.

I'm not sure, but I dont think so- I would assume it would look more odd then, longer maybe. But does seem like something like that.
I have no idea, to be honest
(And yeah- lol, I love my mom when she doesnt buy me flowers aswell. Its the coffee and conversations with family I enjoy☺️
So it was the family part I was happy about, the flower being a nice surprise.)

Believe that term refers to flower stems being wide/flattened. A new one for me!

This is a picture of my mini that also has the extra petals. I put keiki paste on the spike hoping for a keiki, but it grew another spike instead. I really would like to get a keiki off this one to see if it also has the "special" flower as I really like it.

Wow- yours is even cooler😎 Lol, or- it seems like yours is doing something with the petals, mine is just giving it a try😜😂
Are all the flowers like that?
Hope you get a keiki Its a lovely plant, really cool- do you have more pictures? I would love to see more details on the petals, its a bit blurry on this picture.

This is the only other picture I have of it. All the flowers were like that. I'm waiting to see what the new spike procuces. Probably be another month or so before they open. I guess no keiki this time. I'll have to try again next time it blooms.
