Default catasetum watering help

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right location, hopefully yall can still help me.

I recently received a Millennium Magic Witchcraft catasetum. It's March 20 (spring time) and it is nice and large, all my other catasetum are coming out of dormancy and each are slowly growing new pseudobulbs, I know not to water them until the roots are 4-5inches long. Im not sure what to do with the watering for the Millennium magic though. Should i water it like it's a full grown catasetum or should I wait to see if it'll put out a new bulb then water? (When I got the orchid the media was wet)

I live in zone 8a (Virginia)

Thanks for your help everyone!!

I would water it since it looks like it was actively growing before you purchased it. Withholding water will induce dormancy.

It looks to me like it had a dormant period and then was an early sprouter. I would treat it as a fully-growing bulb and give it all the food and water it can handle. It looks like a nice, healthy plant.
