Did it again… Bought a noID dendrobium, pics

Well, I had decided not to buy more plants until after the summer. Was at Ikea, was not gonna buy plants.
Well, I did. I bought a phalaenopsis because I didnt have yellow one. And a dendrobium- because the flower was so sparkling. Not purple, not pink- but both at the same time, depending on the light. Besides I only have one- and that was lonely, I decided. Oh, and I bought a haworthia aswell- cause it was cute.
And pizza. 😜😂

Anyway- here is the new one. Not easy to capture sparkles in picture- it is really sparkling😎










And the phalenopsis is kinda sparkly aswell. Lol, most flowers are. Just an excuse to buy more😜 Like the flat flowers, it looks golden in the sun.




And the haworthia, succulent- not orchid


I paid about 18 euro for all three. Thats the problem, its hard to not take them home😎

Lovely! Does anybody know what type of orchid is this dendrobium? I have bought the same plant a few days ago and I want to know more about it

I think it might be a dendrobium phalaenopsis hybrid or something like that? I am trying to read more about dendrobiums, maybe I learn how to take care of it. I have one more, but they are not the same so not sure if this needs winter-rest or not. I figured I will know before winter comes😜

I repotted. The dendrobium was not standing secured in the old mix, and was not looking very good. Plant and roots looked fine. The smaller growth doesn't look as good as the bigger, but looks okay.
Potted in a mix of bark, perlite and moss. Moss on top (not on the small growth, dont want it to rot).

The yellow one. Well, decided to go s/h mixed with vase culture. Kinda. I keep a little water in the bottom, and mist every now and then. And yeah, I am aware it doesnt have holes😜

Oh, and inspired by Bil, I made a more gentle way to hold the cane, instead of the clips. 😎👍🏻






And yeah- if you keep them in leca- dont let them stand in fertilizer… I forgot to empty one s/h, and left it in fertilizer instead of water. I couldnt understand why it started to get odd color… *facepalm* (it does grow though, both new leaves, roots and started a spike). Luckily it was a pretty weak solution, so think it might survive. I am flushing it now. (Yeah, that is easier if you have holes in the pot)

S/h with leca is kinda brilliant. I think I will convert more of my phalaenopsis to that. I recommend pots with holes in, actually- I recommend reading the website Ray has.
