New Cattleya Orchid Growth Roots Shrinking
Hello all, Dragon Tamer here I got a cattleya which I am rehabilitating and it was going fine and had put on a good new cane + leaf and and it has grown some thick roots which hang outside the pot but for some reason the roots have shrunk despite me giving the orchid consistent care like watering and fertilizing, How has this likely happened?
I attached a photo showing the problem, also I noticed a little while ago it showed some denting marks/prune finger like mark I think.

Roots hanging outside the pot can dry up if humidity is too low. They get broken off by children, cats and sometimes dragons.

In summer the air may be very warm and dry, causing aerial roots to become dehydrated. It happens to me a lot in summer.
