Orchid Help! Coelogyne & Dendrobium
Good afternoon Orchid Lovers!
I have a few orchids I'm concerned about.
1st - Ive had a Coelogyne Variety for 4-5 months,it looks like a Mossiae cross. (pseudobulbs look a like) The flowers come from the middle of the pseudobulb between the two primary leaves, they are white in color with a yellow/orange on the lip of the pedal, so not sure what variety is mixed in. I have been getting mixed reviews on care tips. Mine has been doing okay. No new growth. The plant doesn't seem to be doing much. It keeps its bulbs nice and plump. I keep it in an area with two 2 ft t-5 bulbs. for about 13 hours a day. It gets good air circulation and constantly stays moist. An advice? (pic to come)
2nd - Im having some trouble with is this new Dendrobium I purchased. The tag reads Den. Roy Tokunaga. Doing some research I feels its a Den. Bill Takamatsu. The care instructions ive read call for High to medium light, Likes to stay evenly moist without drying out. Will flower a few times a year. I have mine in a east facing window with a humidity tray. I was curious to know if anyone had any tips. (pics to come)
I would greatly appreciate any care tips anyone may have on these two orchids.
Side Question - whats a simple way to Judge light? weather its High, Med or low. I have a harder time judging good low to med light.
